Hard Work Never Goes in Vain: District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami Guides Motion Education Students

Kota: District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami emphasized the importance of hard work and perseverance, assuring students that diligent effort never goes unrewarded.

Dr. Goswami addressed the students at Motion Education's Drona Campus on Wednesday evening, sharing his experiences from his student life. He engaged in conversations, shared jokes, listened to the students' concerns, and answered their questions. He highlighted the efforts of the district administration under the "Kamyaab Kota" campaign, aimed at reducing stress among coaching students, providing them with entertainment, addressing their issues, and creating a pleasant environment.

The session was attended by Motion Education's Joint Director Ramratan Dwivedi, Deputy Director Nikhil Srivastava, and other senior faculty members.

In response to students' questions, Dr. Goswami remarked that the goal of life is not just to pass exams. While qualifying for exams or securing a good job can be means to achieve goals, they are not the ultimate goals. He cited examples of IITians who left lucrative jobs in search of satisfaction, emphasizing that success is a journey, not a destination, and there is always room for improvement and achievement in life.

Addressing a question about bringing questions home from coaching classes, Dr. Goswami advised against it. He noted that 50% of people are introverted and may hesitate to ask questions in class. He urged students to overcome this hesitation. When asked about lacking confidence despite studying, he reassured that it is normal to doubt one's preparation and that recognizing one's weaknesses and avoiding distractions like mobile phones are essential.

On retaining studied material, he recommended writing notes, creating diagrams, and using various tricks to develop smart strategies for memorization. To avoid silly mistakes in exams, he stressed the importance of practice, revision, and learning from past errors. He advised students to take tests on difficult topics to learn from mistakes.

Dr. Goswami encouraged self-reflection before sleeping, advising students to review their day's activities and study. He suggested avoiding repeated mistakes by recognizing time wastage. Regarding stress from peers' good scores and selections, he acknowledged that peer pressure is common but reminded students to avoid comparisons and focus on their unique abilities and strengths.
