Ved Knowledge Week Begins at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth

Udaipur,  The seven-day Ved Gyaan Saptah (Ved Knowledge Week) commenced at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth’s Sahitya Sansthan in collaboration with Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain. The inauguration was performed by Vice-Chancellor Col. Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, keynote speaker Dr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Dr. Surendra Sharma, Director Prof. Jeevan Singh Kharkwal, Convener Dr. Kul Shekhar Vyas, and Coordinator Dr. Mahesh Ameta, by offering floral tribute at the idol of Goddess Saraswati, lighting the ceremonial lamp, and cutting the ribbon of the Vedic exhibition.

Welcoming the guests, Prof. Jeevan Singh Kharkwal informed that during the seven days, lectures related to the Vedas will be organized in different colleges and universities.

Presiding over the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Col. Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot stated that the purpose of Ved Knowledge Week is to promote the wisdom of the Vedas so that values, knowledge, and devotion can be cultivated among people. He emphasized that the Vedas are not scriptures of any particular religion but are the heritage of entire humanity, encompassing the ancient history of mankind. He further highlighted the power of mantras, the essence of Shabda Brahma, the importance of Durga Saptashati, and purity of mind, stressing that mantras always bestow strength.

Keynote speaker Dr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma explained the presence of astronomical science in Vedic hymns and elaborated on the power of Ganpati mantras along with the concept of Asana Siddhi.

Guest of honor Dr. Surendra Dwivedi said that by following the conduct prescribed in Vedic hymns, one remains healthy, long-lived, and attains various spiritual accomplishments while staying devoted to God. Citing Shrimad Bhagavat Purana, he underlined that every task should be performed with complete dedication.

The program was conducted by Dr. Kul Shekhar Vyas, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Mahesh Ameta.

On this occasion, Controller of Examinations Dr. Paras Jain, Dr. Bhawanipal Singh Rathore, Vikas Ameta, Ganpat Ameta, K.K. Kumawat, Dr. Yagya Ameta, Dr. Tilkesh Ameta, Dr. Mitesh Bhatt, Ganesh Lal Nagda, Inder Singh Ranawat, Dr. Manish Shrimali, Love Verma, Parshuram Sharma, Narayan Paliwal, Shoaib Qureshi, Anand Kumar, along with several astrologers, were present.
