Manipal University Jaipurorganizedits5th Convocation on November1 & 2, 2018 in the campus.
The Chief Guest of the function was well renowned and successful startup entrepreneur, Mr. Hari Menon, Co-Founder and CEO Big Basket on the 1st Day. Speaking from his varied experience of 35 years,in his address to the students he congratulated them on being part of one of the best educational institutes. He advised the students on learning throughout as it is life long process, try to be better, insist on high levels of Ethics, Values, Integrity and honesty, gets stylish and don an attractive positive attitude, be a good listener, be a good team player, learn the skill to problem solving.The Chief Guest on day two was Dr. ChandrashekharSripada, Practice Professor & Executive Director, ISB, Hyderabad who has vast commercial and academic experience. In his address to the students, advised them to transcend current paradigms. The future needs bold and breakthrough solutions for jobs and careers. The students must redesign social norms to be more inclusive, tolerant and civilized.President Dr GK Prabhupresented an overview of the University with emphasis on recent changes incorporated for inclusive growth. He advised the students to have open minded and rational approach in their career.
1486 students from B.Tech and Non-B.Techprogrammes both UG and PG were awardeddegrees. This included 29 Ph D research scholars. 27 students who have excelled and topped in their respective course of study were awarded Gold-Medals. Besides, Chairman’s Gold Medal for overall excellence was awarded to Mr. SusheemKanwar of B Tech Mechanical Engineering and President’s Gold-Medal was awarded to Dr. Suman Swami for excellence in research.
