79th Independence Day Celebrated at PMU with Grandeur

Udaipur, Bhilo ka Bedla – The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Pacific Medical University (PMU). The celebrations were marked by a flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Dr. M.M. Mangal, President of Pacific Medical University, CEO Sharad Kothari, and Dr. U.S. Parihar, Principal of PMCH. The campus echoed with the national anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic emotions.

On the occasion, Dr. M.M. Mangal paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and stated that the true meaning of independence lies not only in freedom but also in responsibility and dedication. He emphasized that medicine is a profession that offers an opportunity to serve society, and hence, doctors must remain committed to their work while also contributing to the service of the nation.

The ceremony featured soulful patriotic songs presented by doctors from the Department of Medicine, which deeply moved the guests, students, and staff members. The premises reverberated with patriotic songs and slogans.

The event witnessed the presence of Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, students of MBBS, Dental, and Nursing streams, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff from Pacific Medical College & Hospital, Dental College, Nursing College, Physiotherapy College, Occupational Therapy College, and Paramedical College.

The program concluded with all attendees taking a pledge to contribute continually towards the unity, integrity, and service of the nation and humanity.
