Successful Workshop on Penile Rehabilitation Surgery Held at PMCH

Udaipur – A one-day live workshop on Penile Rehabilitation Surgery was successfully organized by the Department of Urology, Pacific Medical College & Hospital (PMCH), in collaboration with the Udaipur Urological Society. The workshop was inaugurated by renowned Urologist and Andrologist Dr. Gautam Banga (SCI International Hospital, New Delhi), Dr. M.M. Mangal (President, PMU), Dr. U.S. Parihar (Principal, PMCH), Dr. H.L. Khamesra (Chairperson, Udaipur Urological Society), Dr. Ramesh Sethia (Secretary, Rajasthan Urological Society), Dr. Sunil Gokhru (President, Udaipur Urological Society), and Dr. Hanumant Singh Rathore (Organizing Secretary).

In his welcome address, Dr. Hanumant Singh Rathore highlighted the social stigma around penile health issues, despite them being solvable through modern medical advancements. The workshop aimed to share detailed surgical insights into Penile Prosthesis and Peyronie’s Disease, while updating urologists on the latest surgical innovations for better patient care.

During the workshop, Dr. Gautam Banga performed live surgeries demonstrating penile prosthesis implantation and correction of Peyronie’s Disease. Attendees gained firsthand exposure to advanced techniques, surgical precautions, and innovation in the field. He emphasized that conditions like erectile dysfunction and penile deformity continue to affect men both mentally and socially, but can be effectively managed with the help of advanced technologies, significantly improving quality of life.

Chairman Rahul Agrawal of PMCH praised the initiative, stating that Pacific Medical College has always supported innovation in medical education. Such workshops enable doctors to meet global standards in surgical excellence.

The workshop saw active participation from urologists, surgeons, and medical students from Udaipur and surrounding districts. Dr. Kshitij Ranka and Dr. Hardik Patel also played vital roles in making the event a success.
