Flag Hoisting Ceremony Held at Keshav Nikunj Sangh Office

A flag hoisting ceremony was organised at the Keshav Nikunj office of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Udaipur, on the occasion of Independence Day. The national flag was unfurled by Deepak Shukla, Chittor Province Co-Karyawah of the RSS.

Addressing the swayamsevaks, Baliram, All India Executive Member of the RSS and Co-Head of the Social Harmony Division, stated that India attained independence on 15 August 1947, marking a change in governance and leadership. He recalled the contributions made by various organisations and revolutionaries in the freedom struggle, noting that RSS founder Dr. Hedgewar was a born patriot and that the organisation too played its part in this noble cause.

In the present context, it was emphasised that the mentality of slavery must be shed, and the spirit of “self” along with the sense of civic duty should be internalised and manifested in public life. It was conveyed that, during this Amrit Kaal of independence, it is necessary for every ideal patriotic citizen to reflect upon and fulfil their role in nation-building.
