Udaipur, World Environment Day was jointly celebrated by Vigyan Samiti and Dr. Daulat Singh Kothari Research & Teaching Institute, Udaipur. The event began with a plantation drive within the campus and along the roadside. Chief speaker Dr. M.G. Varshney, Dean of Student Welfare, Pacific Medical University, emphasized planting neem trees and proper disposal of plastic. Guest speaker Jitendra Mehta, President of ALERT Sansthan, discussed water harvesting and rural reservoir development. Dr. Maheep Bhatnagar, President of the Samiti, highlighted the dangers of nano plastic particles in food and called for reduced plastic usage. Dr. Pokharna explained how Jain monks naturally practice environmental conservation. Dr. K.L. Kothari, chairing the event, encouraged everyone to integrate eco-friendly habits in daily life. Students Ishant Saxena (Class 6) and Vihaan Karanpuriya (Class 4) presented impressive thoughts on plastic pollution. The program was moderated by Dr. K.P. Talesara and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K.L. Totawat.
