#### Vibrant Gujarat Navratri Festival to Bring Garba, Art, Crafts, and Cuisine to Udaipur

Udaipur: Gujarat’s iconic folk dance Garba, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is set to enthrall the people of Udaipur. For the first time, the Government of Gujarat’s Tourism Department is organizing the Vibrant Gujarat Pre-Navratri Festival 2025 in Rajasthan’s lake city.

The grand celebration will be held on 14 September at Field Club, Udaipur, featuring an evening of music, dance, and traditions. Entry will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. The opening ceremony will be graced by Union Cabinet Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the chief guest, along with Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Gujarat Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera.

As part of the festival, Garba workshops will be organized from 8 to 13 September at JDCA Dance & Sports Fitness Hub, Udaipur, in two sessions: 10 AM–1 PM and 7 PM–11 PM. Participation is free on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested individuals can register by contacting 63581 44611.

During the festival, attractive prizes and gifts will be awarded, including ₹5,000 shopping vouchers, recognition for the best traditional attire (men, women, children), best Garba performances (solo, duo, group, and children), as well as for the best uploaded reels.

Highlighting the cultural extravaganza, renowned Gujarati playback singer Parthiv Gohil will perform live with his orchestra, presenting soulful Garba renditions. Visitors will also get to experience Gujarati folk performances such as Talwar Raas, Gof Gunthan, and Maniyaro Raas, showcasing valor, rhythm, and joy through vibrant dance traditions.

The evening will begin at 7:30 PM with 30 minutes of traditional folk presentations, setting the stage for a night of Garba under the starlit Udaipur sky. Participants are required to wear traditional attire, while non-traditional guests may enjoy the event as spectators.

Organizers emphasized that Navratri is more than a festival—it is a way to unite hearts. By bringing Garba and its traditions to Udaipur, the festival aims to invite everyone to dance, celebrate, and experience the communal spirit of Gujarat. Beyond entertainment, the event promises a profound cultural experience, where generations come together, traditions are shared, and lasting memories are created.
