Udaipur – The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth’s Shramjeevi College, Pratapnagar Campus, and Debari Campus. The main ceremony was held at the B.Ed. College ground in Debari, where Vice Chancellor Col. Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot and Kul Pramukh Bhawarlal Gurjar hoisted the national flag and took the salute of the parade. Students enthralled the audience with vibrant performances on Rajasthani folk and patriotic songs.
On the occasion, Prof. Sarangdevot remarked that the day is meant to express gratitude to the nation and to remember the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters whose courage and sacrifice freed Mother India from British rule. He stressed that without a strong national spirit, the country cannot attain ultimate glory. He further underlined the importance of cultural heritage, democratic values, and the eternal principles of Sanatan Dharma, which must be passed on to the coming generations. He also emphasized that true nation-building requires national character and a Vedic vision that fosters inclusivity, removing divisions of caste and class while establishing the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Highlighting the role of education, Prof. Sarangdevot said that the progress of any nation depends on its education system, and it is the responsibility of teachers to prepare the youth with innovation, technology, and skill-based knowledge to enable India to stand with dignity in the global arena.
Kul Pramukh Bhawarlal Gurjar, in his address, highlighted the need for youth to remain socially responsible, contribute to eradicating problems like terrorism and superstition, and remain alert to challenges arising in neighboring regions.
