Udaipur — The two-day free MSME Conclave, jointly organized by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industries (FORTI), concluded at Bhairavgarh today.
The closing ceremony was graced by Babulal Kharadi, Minister for Tribal Development, Government of Rajasthan, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included MP Mannalal Rawat, FORTI Patron Surjaram Meel, MSME Assistant Director Sanjay Meena, Anila Chordia, Praveen Suthar (Chairman, Rajasthan FORTI Branches), Manoj Joshi (Core Committee Coordinator), Manish Bhanawat (Chairman, FORTI Udaipur Branch), Harsha Kumawat (Chairperson, FORTI Women’s Wing), and Prashant Sharma (Secretary, FORTI Youth Wing).
In his address, Minister Babulal Kharadi stated that the government is fully prepared to extend every possible support to industries in order to strengthen the nation. Stressing the importance of adopting Swadeshi, he said, “If we embrace indigenous products, our money will circulate within our country, making our economy stronger. We must reduce dependence on foreign goods.” He also mentioned that the Chief Minister is actively appealing to NRIs abroad to invest in Rajasthan to build a self-reliant and robust state economy.
MP Mannalal Rawat remarked that India is changing rapidly and that startups must take the lead in nation-building, with MSMEs playing a pivotal role. “By 2047, we must create a New India capable of leading the world,” he added.
FORTI Patron Surjaram Meel highlighted that industrialists explored new opportunities during the two-day conclave. He emphasized that the government has introduced numerous schemes for industrial growth, and entrepreneurs must utilize them effectively. He also underlined Udaipur’s vast potential for tourism development.
Praveen Suthar, Chairman of Rajasthan FORTI Branches, acknowledged the vital contribution of vendors, industrialists, and participants to the success of the conclave. He expressed confidence that this initiative will provide new direction to industries, enabling them to contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.
MSME Assistant Director Sanjay Meena reiterated the government’s commitment to providing support and benefits to industries at every step.
Manoj Joshi, Core Committee Coordinator, observed that India’s economy is not so fragile that a 25% tariff by the U.S. could destabilize it. He said, “We must create such a strong domestic market and network that our products are sold here first, and only the surplus goes abroad. This will ensure our money strengthens our own economy. We must awaken the spirit of Swadeshi.”
Harsha Kumawat, Chairperson of the Women’s Wing, encouraged entrepreneurs to step forward, stating that the government is ready to assist but businesses must come out of their comfort zones. She also pointed out significant export opportunities from Udaipur.
From Jaipur, CA Sonal Khandelwal explained that subsidy is a right, not a bonus or aid, and mentioned the revised turnover limits for MSMEs—₹10 crore for micro, ₹100 crore for small, and ₹500 crore for medium industries—boosting growth opportunities. She also stressed on building a strong business ecosystem. On this occasion, Rajat Prajapati shared his success story.
In the morning session, Shailendra Sharma (General Manager, District Industries Centre), Ajay Pandya (Deputy General Manager, RIICO), and Pankaj Sharma (State General Secretary, Congress) also expressed their views.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prashant Sharma, Secretary of the FORTI Youth Wing. The proceedings were conducted by Anila Chordia, Assistant Director, MSME.
