200 Weeks of Continuous Free Yoga Camp at Sukhadia University

The University Yoga Center of Sukhadia University has set a remarkable milestone by successfully conducting a free yoga practice camp for 200 consecutive weeks and 1,400 days without a single break. This week the session are being led by Yoga Instructor Ms. Aditi Sharda, who guide participants in holistic health and wellness practices.

Organized under the university’s vision of social responsibility, the camp has been running daily from 6:00 AM to 7:15 AM in the Cafeteria Hall of the Vivekananda Auditorium, located at the main campus. This initiative was launched on 19 October 2021 and has been sustained without interruption ever since.

Providing details about the program, Dr. Deependra Singh Chauhan, Coordinator of the University Yoga Center, stated:

“For the past 200 weeks and 1400 days, this camp has continued without a single day’s gap. It has become a platform for yoga practitioners to enhance their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”

During the sessions, participants engage in a wide range of practices including micro-exercises, Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Ardha Kati Chakrasana, Trikonasana, Bakasana, Gomukhasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Naukasana, Bhujangasana, Virabhadrasana, Dhanurasana, Yoga Nidra, along with pranayama techniques such as Anulom-Vilom, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, and Bhramari. Advanced yoga postures are also demonstrated and taught to interested practitioners.

The camp is open to all, free of cost, and yoga mats are provided by the center for participants’ convenience.

In recognition of this long-standing initiative, the Udaipur District Administration honored the University Yoga Center during the Independence Day celebrations 2025, acknowledging its outstanding contribution towards community health and wellness
