Udaipur, Shri Nath Bhakt Mandal and Akshay Lokjan Karyakarini met with Jatin Gandhi, Assistant Commissioner of the Devasthan Department, and appealed that the funds approved by the Rajasthan Government for the restoration of temples should be utilized under the supervision of citizen committees to ensure transparency and benefit the temples directly.
A memorandum was submitted emphasizing the need to improve the arrangements at the four Pushtimarg temples located on City Palace Road. It stated that traditional rituals such as seva (service), shringar (decoration), bhog (offerings), and festivals should be organized as per the records. Worn-out temple items like angavastras (ceremonial cloths), pichhwais (traditional backdrops), and seating arrangements should be replaced with new ones. It was strongly suggested that only individuals with a Seva Brahma relationship be entrusted with temple services to maintain sanctity.
Concerns were also raised regarding unorganized parking around the temples, which obstructs the movement of devotees. Authorities were urged to regulate vehicle parking in the area.
The delegation appreciated the improved quality of bhog offerings being prepared under the current directives and extended their gratitude for the same.
The delegation comprised Manohar Lal Mudda, Jaykishan Chaube, Narayan Chandra Sahu, Mohan Shrimali, Professor Vimal Sharma, Rampratap Jethi, Shivesh Jain, Hari Vallabh Dave, and Mahendra Singh Rathore.
