Empowering Hindi in the Digital Era is Our Pledge – Anil Saxena ‘Lalkar’

Udaipur, As part of the ongoing Rajasthan Literary Movement, a grand ceremony was held at Lions Club Auditorium in memory of late Dr. Bhanwar Surana under the joint aegis of Rajasthan Media Action Forum and Dr. Bhanwar Surana Memorial Felicitation Committee.

“Strengthening Hindi in the Technological Age”

Presiding over the program, senior journalist, author, and convenor of the Rajasthan Literary Movement, Anil Saxena ‘Lalkar’, emphasized:

“Empowering Hindi in the technological era is not merely our goal but our responsibility. The world today is digital, and if we connect our mother tongue with modern technological tools, Hindi literature and journalism can reach new heights. Our endeavor should be that the younger generation not only reads, writes, and understands Hindi but also disseminates it globally through digital platforms, social media, blogs, and technical publications. This is our literary and social duty.”

Call for Innovation and Research

Chief Guest Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, remarked:

“Technological advancement in media is creating new opportunities for youth. In Hindi literature, emphasis on innovation and research is the need of the hour.”

Special Guest Dr. K.K. Rattu, former Additional Director General of Doordarshan (Delhi), highlighted the crucial role of Hindi journalism in spreading social awareness.
Former IPS officer, actor, and cultural activist Anandvardhan Shukla underlined that literature and art are the carriers of sensitivity and culture in society.

Panel Discussion: “Media, IT and Hindi in the 21st Century”

In the literary dialogue, senior journalist Dr. Urukram Sharma (Jaipur) noted that Hindi literature provides direction to future generations.
Senior writer Lakshman Boliyan (Jaipur) stressed that honesty and impartiality must remain the soul of journalism.
Renowned litterateur Alok Srivastava (Noida) reflected on the current challenges facing Hindi’s growth.

Book Launches and Cultural Performance

On this occasion, two books by Dr. Shakuntala Saruparia – Ruh ke Parinde and Madhumas Laungi Main – were launched, with reviews presented by Dr. Vandana Mishra, Dr. Awadhesh Johri, Mrs. Poonam, and Dr. Srinivasan Iyer.
A vibrant Bhavai folk dance, presented by S.K. Events Company, added cultural flair to the literary evening.

“Srijan Vibhuti Samman” Conferred on 10 Writers

In the memorial function, the Srijan Vibhuti Samman was conferred upon:

Tribute and Inaugural Ceremony

The event commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Saraswati Vandana, and a biographical introduction of late Dr. Bhanwar Surana by educationist Monika God.
Bhagat Singh Surana, president of the memorial committee, expressed gratitude. The program was coordinated by Dr. Shakuntala Saruparia, Udaipur convener.

Writers and artists from across the country, along with Udaipur’s literary fraternity, were in attendance.

Greetings from State Leaders

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and Lok Sabha Petition Committee Chairman C.P. Joshi extended their best wishes for the two-day program under the Rajasthan Literary Movement.
