#### Hemu Kalani Memorial Unveiled in Shahpura

Bhilwara/Jaipur – Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani on Tuesday unveiled the memorial and statue of martyr Hemu Kalani at Sindhi Colony in Shahpura, Bhilwara district. He described Kalani as one of India’s youngest freedom fighters whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire the youth. The memorial, he said, will serve as a reminder of his contribution and instill patriotism in future generations.
The event, organized jointly by the Sindhi Panchayat and Shahpura Municipal Council, was held in the presence of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Hansram Maharaj, local MLA Lalaram Berwa, and members of Kalani’s family.
Later the same day, Devnani inaugurated a computer lab and smart classroom at Manikya Lal Verma College in Bhilwara, built with MLA funds. He emphasized the importance of technical education in modern times and said these facilities will benefit students greatly.
He also highlighted five core values — Decorum, Discipline, Determination, Devotion, and Development — as guiding principles for life, and encouraged the adoption of indigenous products to strengthen India’s economy.
The event was attended by city MLA Ashok Kothari, District Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, Mayor Rakesh Pathak, along with other public representatives, faculty members, and a large number of students.
