New Delhi – Pali MP and Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on One Nation One Election, PP Chaudhary, met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, in New Delhi on Tuesday. He strongly urged the immediate commencement of the proposed Osian-Tinwari National Highway project.
Spanning approximately 126 kilometers, the Osian-Tinwari route—connecting Soyla (NH-65) to Balesar (NH-114) via Osian and Tinwari—was declared a National Highway but has yet to begin construction. Once operational, this road will benefit not only the Pali constituency but also the districts of Nagaur, Jodhpur, and Barmer in Western Rajasthan.
Chaudhary requested Minister Gadkari to expedite the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for an elevated road on the Desuri-Charbhuja Nal Ghat section that connects Udaipur and Rajsamand to Pali. He noted that the elevated structure will resolve bottlenecks and accelerate local development.
The MP also highlighted local issues, including the need for a drainage system from the Government Medical College to Hemawas Chauraha (VK Hotel) on NH-62 in Pali. He also brought attention to the lack of street lighting on the Bhavi flyover on NH-25, leading to frequent accidents, and requested the paving of the unconstructed road to his native village Bhavi.
Additionally, Chaudhary submitted a demand letter urging the inclusion of key roads from the Pali constituency under the CRIF scheme. He opposed the presence of two toll plazas within a 23-km stretch of NH-62 between Pali and Jodhpur, citing a contradiction to the government's policy of "one toll plaza per 60 km."
Minister Gadkari assured prompt action and instructed departmental officers for immediate response.
