#### Dr. Anees Jukkarwala of Geetanjali Hospital Honored with Rajasthan Gaurav Award 2025

Udaipur: The Rajasthan Gaurav Award, instituted in 1995, recognizes individuals who have excelled in their respective fields and brought honor to society and the state. This year, the jury included a special panel of medical experts, which selected Dr. Anees Jukkarwala, Head of the Neurology Department at Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur, for this prestigious award. The honor was presented to him by the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde.

Dr. Anees was recognized for his remarkable contributions in the field of Neurology, particularly in epilepsy (seizure) management. He pioneered the establishment of epilepsy surgery in South Rajasthan at Geetanjali Hospital, a first in the region. To date, his team has successfully performed nearly 50 complex epilepsy surgeries, giving new hope and improved quality of life to countless patients suffering from epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Center at Geetanjali Hospital is now equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services. In view of these achievements, the jury awarded Dr. Anees the Rajasthan Gaurav Award.

Notably, this award is typically presented to senior and highly experienced professionals. However, Dr. Anees has earned this distinction at a relatively young age, reflecting his exceptional talent, dedication, and commitment to the field.

On receiving the award, Dr. Anees expressed his gratitude to Shri Suresh Mishra, coordinator of Rajasthan Gaurav Award 2025, his family, the entire Neurology Department, and Geetanjali Hospital for their support and encouragement.
