Udaipur: in celebration of International Tourism Day, a grand project was unveiled at Navalakha Mahal to enlighten tourists about the significance of Indian culture. In this context, a seminar was organized in collaboration with hoteliers of Udaipur, where Mr. Ashok Arya, the Chairman of Navalakha Mahal Cultural Center, highlighted the ideals of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, emphasizing the dissemination of Vedic culture worldwide.
During the event, Mr. Ashok Arya expressed that Maharishi Dayanand's 200th birth anniversary is being commemorated with various programs worldwide to promote Vedic culture. The beautifully transformed Navalakha Mahal, situated within the Gulab Bagh, now conveys these lofty values that have been forgotten over time.
Providing a brief overview of Navalakha Mahal, it is the place where Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati arrived at the invitation of Maharana Sajjan Singh of Mewar. He stayed here for approximately six months and enriched his life's work, "Satyarth Prakash," during this time. Previously, this place served as a government liquor store under the Rajasthan government. However, it was acquired by the Arya Samaj in 1992 and has since been the center for various activities.
Numerous projects have been undertaken at Navalakha Mahal since 1992. Notably, the "16 Samskara Vithika," a project aimed at promoting Vedic culture, is among the most significant ones. This place attracts tourists, students, and the general public from all over the world, inspiring them with its message.
In addition, a multimedia center named "Suresh Chandra Deendayal Arya" has been established to honor revolutionaries and unsung heroes of India's freedom struggle. It showcases a short film of approximately 20 minutes, which leaves a lasting impression on tourists.
A gallery called "Aryavart Chitradeergha" has also been constructed to commemorate Vedic culture and the contributions of great personalities.
Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, the President of Udaipur Hotel Association, lauded the various projects initiated at Navalakha Mahal and acknowledged that such projects are unparalleled. He extended his best wishes to Mr. Ashok Arya and his team at Navalakha Mahal Cultural Center, emphasizing that their work is vital for preserving and promoting Indian culture.
Officials were welcomed upon their arrival at Navalakha Mahal, with a traditional turban and scarf. Mr. Ashok Arya, the Chairman of the Navalakha Mahal Cultural Center, explained various projects in detail and shared plans for future endeavors. He pointed out that the center receives more than fifty thousand visitors annually from India and abroad.
This event was organized by the NMCC YOUTH (Navalakha Mahal Cultural Center Youth) organization. Ms. Richa Piyush, the Coordinator of NMCC YOUTH, emphasized that the purpose of these projects is not commercial but to convey the forgotten wisdom of Indian heritage to visitors. NMCC YOUTH members, including Jayesh, Sukrit Mehra, Bhagyashree Sharma, Usha Chauhan, Adarsh Garg, Shobhit Mittal, and others, were present during the event. The Arya Samaj office bearers, Mr. Bhawani Das Arya, Dr. Amrit Lal Tapadia, and other officials also graced the occasion.
To encourage a deeper understanding of their thoughts, Jagriti Vidya Niketan School was also invited to the Navalakha Mahal, with nearly 80 students and teachers exploring the cultural center on the occasion of International Tourism Day.
