#### Udaipur :Every Life is Precious, Exercise Caution

Udaipur, Due to continuous heavy rainfall in the district, the water levels of rivers, streams, and lakes have been rising rapidly. Considering this situation, District Collector Namit Mehta has appealed to the public to remain alert and cautious, and strictly avoid visiting areas prone to waterlogging or strong currents.

Collector Mehta stated, “Every life is precious, and the government and administration place the highest priority on the safety of citizens.” He urged residents not to attempt crossing culverts or overflowing areas, to keep children and the elderly safe indoors, and to avoid standing under electric poles, wires, or trees. In case of any emergency or accident, people are advised to immediately inform the nearest SDM, Tehsildar, Patwari, Village Development Officer, or police station, or contact the control room at 0294-2414620. He further appealed to avoid unnecessary travel and strictly follow advisories issued from time to time by the administration.

Collector and SP Conducted City Inspection

On Saturday, after heavy rainfall, reports of waterlogging in low-lying areas near Ayad River reached the administration. District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal promptly visited the affected areas. They inspected Syphon Chauraha, Navratan Complex, and nearby regions where traffic and public movement were severely impacted by the waterlogging.

During the inspection, Collector Mehta directed officials to prioritize drainage arrangements to prevent inconvenience to the public. SP Goyal instructed the deployment of additional police personnel to ensure smooth traffic management in the affected areas.

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, along with officials from other concerned departments, were also present on the occasion.
