### District-Level Quarterly Meeting of Udaipur Child Protection Unit Held

Udaipur : A district-level quarterly meeting of the Udaipur Child Protection Unit was organized under the auspices of the Child Rights Department on Monday. The meeting took place in the mini conference hall of the Collectorate, directed by District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal, and was attended by ADM City Rajeev Dwivedi and District Legal Services Authority Secretary Kuldeep Sharma.

During the meeting, ADM City Rajeev Dwivedi emphasized the importance of maintaining communication with departmental officials to ensure necessary resources and to follow up consistently. He instructed that no negligence should be shown in preparing identification documents for children residing in orphan residential homes and urged all institutions and departments to work together in coordination.

**Ensure Education for Orphaned Girls**  
District Legal Services Authority Secretary Kuldeep Sharma highlighted the need to ensure that no minor is detained in any jail. He stressed the importance of enrolling orphaned girls in schools regularly. He also advised raising awareness about child labor laws to prevent child labor in various factories and industries.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the Child Welfare Committee and the Juvenile Justice Board, and discussed issues related to child labor, child marriage, and the recent incident involving a minor girl being attacked by a panther in Gogunda, along with measures to alleviate fear among children in the area.

**Commitment to Address Children’s Issues**  
Assistant Director of the Child Rights Department, Arushi Jain, mentioned that various child protection initiatives are being implemented under different schemes in Udaipur district. The meeting aimed to foster a commitment to resolve issues related to children through coordinated efforts among all agencies.

Child Helpline District Project Officer Navneet Audichya shared details about cases received from July 2024 to date and urged both government and non-government organizations to collaborate with the Child Helpline on child protection issues. Sindhu Binujit, in charge of the "Policing for Care of Children" program from UNICEF, assured support for child protection efforts in Udaipur district and promoting the Child Helpline.

Various representatives from non-governmental organizations also shared their insights during the meeting. Attendees included State Child Protection Commission member Dhruv Kumar Kavia, Child Protection Officer Rajkumar Jeengar, Child Helpline advisors Moin Mansuri and Mohan Lal Lohar, representatives from UNICEF, Child Welfare Committee, and officials from the Education Department, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Child Rights Department, Labor Department, and Anti-Human Trafficking Unit.
