Kota Government Divisional Public Library Embraces Cutting-Edge Automation

In a significant stride towards modernizing library services, the Government Divisional Public Library in Kota has embraced state-of-the-art automation. This groundbreaking upgrade allows library users to effortlessly determine the availability of any book within the Kota Public Library with a simple click.

Powered by the innovative e-Granthalaya 4.0 software, this system underscores the library's dedication to keeping pace with the digital age. The industrious team at the Kota Government Divisional Public Library has meticulously cataloged an impressive collection of over 70,000 books on the user-friendly 'WEBOPEC' portal. Remarkably, data for nearly 69,000 books have already been successfully entered into WEBOPAC, with ongoing efforts to catalog the remaining titles.

Dr. D.K. Shrivastava, the Divisional Librarian of Kota Government Divisional Public Library, elaborated, "Last year, we adopted the e-Granthalaya software. The latest iteration, e-Granthalaya 4.0, operates on a cloud-based platform, enabling us to catalog almost 90% of our extensive book collection. We've also streamlined the online process for book checkouts and returns. Through the E-Granthalaya App, users can now conveniently verify the availability of their desired books."

He further stated, "We are painstakingly inputting details for each and every book into the WEBOPAC system, ensuring that our users have access to a comprehensive and up-to-date catalog."
