New Delhi/Pali/Jodhpur. Pali MP and Chairman of One Nation-One Election Joint Parliamentary Committee PP Chaudhary met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi. During this, he discussed in detail for the expansion of rail facilities in Pali parliamentary constituency and submitted various demand letters. Especially urged to start direct rail service from Pali to Delhi and approval of Bilada-Ras new rail line.
MP Chaudhary raised the issue of approval of Bilada-Ras new rail projects and said that immediate approval should be given for this new rail project pending for years and necessary for the region. The length of this proposed railway line is about 52.6 km and its estimated construction cost is about ₹ 850 crore. This rail link connects Pali, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Nagaur districts. This will benefit 3,000 to 4,000 passengers per day as well as transport cement, agricultural and industrial goods. He told the Railway Minister that the completion of the project will reduce the distance from Beawar to Jodhpur by about 58 km. This area is lagging behind in development due to lack of railway connectivity. If this project gets approval soon, then many areas will progress economically and a large number of common people will get the benefit of transportation.
Demand to connect Pali district with direct rail services to the national capital New Delhi*
MP Chaudhary also strongly raised the demand to connect Pali district with direct rail services to the national capital New Delhi. He told the Railway Minister that Pali, along with being a major industrial city of Rajasthan, is also a major center of tourism and educational activities. Despite this, Pali district has no direct connection with the capital Delhi. Due to this, the population of 30 lakhs of the district, especially migrant Rajasthanis and common people, are deprived of direct rail facility.
*Demand for change of name of Jamwai station and stoppage of important trains*
MP Chaudhary requested to change the name of Jamwai railway station to Sumerpur-Jamwai Dam railway station in public interest. He told the Railway Minister that Jamwai Dam station located in Sumerpur is a very important railway station. Passengers from not only Sumerpur but also other nearby areas commute through this station. At present, the population of Sumerpur city is around 60 thousand and the population of Shivganj is around 40 thousand. Around 4.25 lakh people live around Jamwai Dam railway station. The distance of Jamwai Dam station from Sumerpur city is only 5 km. He requested the Railway Minister to change the name of Jamwai Dam railway station to 'Sumerpur-Jamwai Dam' railway station so that Sumerpur can get the benefit of adequate rail facilities.
MP Chaudhary also demanded stoppage of very important trains at various stations of the parliamentary constituency. In this, mainly Rani Khet Express (15013/14) at Osian station, Ranakpur Express (14708/09) at Jawali and Nana station, Jodhpur-Bangalore Express Train (16507/08) at Somesar and Nana station, Ajmer-Mysore Express (16209/10) and Jaipur-Bandra Express (19707/08) at Haripur railway station, Aravali Express (19707/08) at Mori railway station, Swarn Jayanti Rajdhani Express (12957/58) at Marwar Junction railway station and Garib Rath Express (12215/16) at Jawai Bandh railway station etc. were requested to construct underpasses for a permanent solution to the problem of water logging at various places.
