AWWA's Initiative Towards Empowerment of Army Wives*

The Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) and Saksham Sanchar Foundation (SSF) launched an initiative to empower AWWA members in a special event held at Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur Military Station, on 05 August 2024.

The aim of this endeavor is to empower AWWA members in the field of journalism and make Army wives self-reliant by training them in current digital technologies. This joint effort by AWWA and SSF is a commendable initiative to bring about societal change. Under this initiative, 50 students of Army Public School have already been trained in innovative journalism, and these students have begun writing stories and showcasing their creativity.

This initiative can prove revolutionary for women's empowerment, aiming to share stories of art, craft, culture, food, and handicrafts from India's interiors with the world, highlighting the success stories of Brilliant Indians.

The trained students expressed their enthusiasm for the program. Bhavesh, one of the students, said, "This course has brought positive changes in my life. I have started writing my own blogs, which are facilitating good collaboration offers." Mahima Rathore, another student from Army Public School, conducted the program and stated, "Due to the training, I have learned many new techniques, and now I have 82,000 followers on my YouTube channel."

Dimple Arora, a member of Saksham Sanchar Foundation, thanked the members of AWWA and emphasized that this joint effort has been undertaken with future prospects in mind. He announced plans to expand this initiative across the country to focus on empowering the younger generation and women.
