Protest Continues as Mobile Campaign

Udaipur, The ongoing protest by contractual and Self-Financed Scheme (SFS) employees of Mohanlal Sukhadia University entered its seventh consecutive day on Sunday. With the university closed for the weekend, staff continued their protest from home in the form of a "mobile revolution."

Narayan Lal Salvi, President of the MLSU Contractual/SFS Employees Association, stated that all employees continued to voice their five-point demands through various social media platforms. The protest took the shape of a digital campaign to maximize outreach and public engagement.

Through mobile phones and social networks, the employees connected with political leaders, social workers, and administrative officers to highlight their issues. The protestors alleged that the university administration is engaging in mental and financial exploitation, and attempting to suppress their peaceful movement through various tactics, thereby tarnishing the institution’s image.

To amplify their message, the association launched a WhatsApp channel on Saturday, which gained around 300 members in a single day, reaching nearly 1,000 people with updates about the protest. Several political and social organizations have extended their moral support to the protesting employees.

The association has also announced that the protest will escalate from Monday in response to what they call the unconstitutional decisions and narrow-minded attitude of the university administration.
