SLSSC 37th meeting chaired by ACS PHED

Jaipur. In the 37th meeting of the State Level Project Sanctioning Committee (SLSSC) held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering and Ground Water, Dr Subodh Agrawal, five major drinking water projects worth Rs 22 thousand 854 crores were approved under the Jal Jeevan Mission. These five projects will provide water connections to more than 15 lakh households in 5739 villages of 11 state districts.
Rs 7934 crore Sikar-Jhunjhunu project
In the major projects approved in the 37th SLSSC, through the Indira Gandhi Canal Project based Sikar-Jhunjhunu project worth Rs 7 thousand 934 crores, 864 villages of Sikar district and 269 villages of Jhunjhunu district, i.e. 3 lakh 44 thousand 120 houses of total 1133 villages have a water supply. The connection will be given.
Rs 5783 crore Chambal-Alwar-Bharatpur project
The surface water-based Chambal-Alwar-Bharatpur project worth Rs 5 thousand 783 crores was also approved in SLSC. In this, there will be water connections in 3 lakh 96 thousand 223 houses in 882 villages of Alwar district and 335 villages of Bharatpur district, i.e. in total 1237 villages.
3693 crore Jakham dam-based project
The sanction was also given to the Jakham Dam-based mega project worth Rs 3 thousand 693 crores in SLSSC. Through this project, water connections will be given to 2 lakh 11 thousand 926 houses in 708 villages of Chittorgarh district, 375 in Udaipur, 297 in Rajsamand and 93 villages in Pratapgarh district, i.e. a total of 1473 villages.
Rs 4623 crore Chambal-Karauli-Sawai Madhopur project
The Chambal-Karauli-Sawai Madhopur mega project worth Rs 4 thousand 623 crores was also approved in the meeting. Through this project, 4 lacks 37 thousand 279 water connections will be given in 851 villages of Karauli district and 581 villages of Sawai Madhopur district, i.e. a total of 1426 villages.
Rs 821 crore Kalitir-Dhaulpur project
Similarly, 1 lakh 21 thousand 598 water connections will be provided in 376 villages of Dholpur district and 94 villages of Bharatpur district under the Kalitir-Dhaulpur mega project worth Rs.821 crore.
246 crore rupees project of 79 villages of Jodhpur
In the meeting, a project costing Rs 246 crore 20 lacks was also approved to supply drinking water from the Indira Gandhi Canal in 79 villages and 325 settlements of the Dechu and Lohawat blocks of the Jodhpur district.
59 new OTMPs worth Rs 130 crore approved
Apart from this, approval was given to 59 new small drinking water projects (OTMP) in 33 villages worth Rs 130 crore 38 lacks. These projects will result in 13,132 water connections. Shri Pradeep Singh, Mission Director, National Jal Jeevan Mission (NJJM), attended the 37th SLSSC meeting on behalf of the Central Government. The Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission, Shri Avichal Chaturvedi, gave brief information about various agenda in the meeting. In the forum, Chief Engineer Jal Jeevan Mission Mr RK Meena, Chief Engineer (Special Project) Mr Dinesh Kumar Goyal, Chief Engineer (Technical) Dalip Kumar Gaur, Chief Engineer (Jodhpur) Mr Neeraj Mathur, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer Mr KC Kumawat, Water Chief Accounts Officer of Jeevan Mission, Mr Sushil Sharma, besides Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers of various PHED regions were present.
