Renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan has kicked off the shoot of his much-anticipated thriller Haivan, produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, with Venkat K Narayan and Shailja Desai as co-producers.
The film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 18 years, a duo last seen together in Tashan (2008). Their pairing was popular in the 1990s with films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Aarzoo.
Haivan is the Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam and promises to be a high-octane suspense drama. The shoot has commenced in Kochi, Kerala, and will later continue in Ooty and Mumbai. The film is expected to release next year.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, fondly called “Khiladi Kumar”, is also in the spotlight for Jolly LLB 3, releasing on September 19, 2025. His upcoming projects further include Bhool Bangla and Hera Pheri 3 — both directed by Priyadarshan.
