Jaipur – The 8th Aryan International Children’s Film Festival of Jaipur (AICFF) 2025, the 10th Sixteen International Film Festivals (16IFF) 2025, along with the launching editions of the Culture & Tourism Film Festival (CTFF) and the World Student Film Festival (WSFF), organized by Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) and Aryan Roj Foundation, witnessed thousands of children enjoying 71 films from 15 countries over two days, while also learning the art of filmmaking.
On the second and final day of the two-day celebration, audiences were treated to screenings of several prominent international films. Featured films included Russia’s short fiction Yashka The Cuttlefish (Denis Borodin) and Les Rêves / The Dreams (Maria Baeva), France’s animated short The Forest of the Honey Bees (Erwan Le Gal), India’s animated short Baahubali: Crown of Blood (Season 1, Episode 6 – “Dark Secrets”), the UK’s short fiction Dante’s Inferno – The Ascension (Sofian Francis), China/Macao’s Morpheus (Guozheng He), Mexico’s short fiction Olguita (Marimar Herrerías Pliego), and China’s The Lost Goat (Shuai Wang).
Additionally, Japan’s animated feature Dragon Heart – Adventures Beyond This World (Isamu Imakake), Serbia’s animated short Chardak (Mileta Postic, Predrag Joldic), and the UK’s short fiction The Silver Lining (Mikey Altoft) were also showcased. These films presented children and young audiences with a rich experience of cultural diversity, storytelling styles, and excellence in animation and short fiction at an international standard.
Several films were particularly appreciated by viewers, including Ipshita Bhattacharya’s The Bleeding Tide, which sensitively and powerfully explores the impact of climate change on women, especially on menstrual cycles. Its cinematography mesmerized the audience. Additionally, Jaipur audiences learned a great deal from the film Jaipur as a Cultural Capital of India, making it an exceptional blend of education and entertainment, particularly for children.
The next editions of all four film festivals will be held on a grander scale next year.
