Udaipur. In a pool campus drive conducted at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS), globally renowned semiconductor company Micron Technology selected 63 students – 33 B.Tech and 30 Diploma students from GITS and various colleges and universities across India. Selected candidates have been offered positions as G.E.T. (Graduate Engineer Trainee) and Manufacturing Associate.
Dr. S.M. Prasannakumar, Director of GITS, stated that India is progressing rapidly in the field of semiconductor manufacturing and is poised to become a hub for chip manufacturing companies in the future. Micron Technology is among the top companies in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. Established in 1978, the company operates 11 chip manufacturing units across 17 countries with over 48,000 employees, specializing in memory solutions. Its key products include DRAM, NAND, NOR, Solid-State Devices, and High-Bandwidth Memory, all of which are essential components in electronic devices.
According to Dr. Arvind Singh Pemawat, Head of Training and Placement at GITS, over 350 students from prestigious engineering colleges including C.T.A.E. Udaipur, S.K.I.T. Jaipur, Bhagwant Mahaveer University (Gujarat), as well as institutions from Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh participated in this drive. Company officials conducted written tests, technical interviews, and HR rounds to select the candidates.
