Udaipur. The foundation stone for a new Guest House Extension Block equipped with modern facilities was laid today at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnatak.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Arvind Verma, Director of Research; Dr. R.L. Soni, Director of Extension Education; Dr. Ram Avatar Kaushik, Director of Resident Instruction and Dean, College of Fisheries; Mr. Ranveer Shekhawat, Estate Officer; Dr. Subhash Meena, Guest House In-charge; Mr. Sudhir Sadhwani and Mr. Gopal Meena, Managers; along with Mr. R.K. Babel and Mr. Devaraj Singh from the Estate Office, and several other officials and staff members.
The university has received a grant of ₹1 crore from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for this project. With this funding, 8 new air-conditioned guest rooms will be constructed, and the existing rooms will be renovated and upgraded with modern amenities.
Upon completion, the Guest House will offer a total of 34 rooms, including 4 VVIP suites, with all rooms fully air-conditioned.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Karnatak stated:
“With this development, the university’s Guest House will be equipped with world-class facilities. Located in the heart of Udaipur, it will serve as a highly useful and convenient accommodation center for guests attending national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops organized by the university.”
