Reviews Sahakar Gallery and Central Cooperative Bank Headquarters

Udaipur, As part of the lead-up to the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, Bihar’s Minister for Cooperation, Dr. Prem Kumar, visited the Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. Headquarters located at Pratapnagar, Udaipur, and reviewed the Sahakar Gallery.

During his visit, Dr. Kumar keenly observed the gallery, which showcased the bank’s journey from its establishment in 1956 to the present day. Through photographs, banners, posters, and standees, various major initiatives and achievements were displayed. He appreciated the bank’s progress and lauded its contribution to the cooperative sector.

Dr. Mehjabeen Bano, Managing Director of the bank, briefed the minister on the bank’s developmental journey under the theme "Prosperity through Cooperation", highlighting key activities and accomplishments.

Following the gallery tour, a brief review meeting was held on various schemes of the Central Cooperative Bank and the department. Delegates from Bihar who participated in the meeting included Joint Registrar (Cooperative Societies) Samarish Kumar, Senior Cooperative Extension Officer Anand Kumar, Vinay Jain, Personal Assistant Shekhar Suman, and associate Anil Kumar.

A mutual exchange of ideas took place between the cooperative departments of Rajasthan and Bihar, focusing on innovations and farmer-centric schemes. Dr. Mehjabeen Bano also provided detailed insights into the functioning of the bank, financial health of cooperative societies in the district, and the bank's financial indicators.

As part of the "Plant a Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, Minister Dr. Prem Kumar planted a sapling within the bank premises.

The event was attended by Additional Registrar (Cooperation) Udaipur Mrs. Gunjan Chaube, Deputy Registrar Lokesh Joshi, Udaipur Bhandaaar General Manager Dr. Pramod Kumar, Kautilya Bhatt, Special Auditor Alka Bharadwaj, Assistant Registrar (Leave Reserve), several department inspectors, and bank officials.
