In the serene ambiance of Gangaur Ghat, a magnificent rehearsal session for International Yoga Day 2025 was held today from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, drawing hundreds of yoga enthusiasts, locals, and visiting tourists. The event, held under the joint aegis of District Administration, Ayurveda Department, Municipal Corporation, Urban Improvement Trust, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Ahuti Seva Sansthan, and various voluntary organizations, witnessed overwhelming participation.
The rehearsal followed the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and included demonstrations of asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques. The entire session was smoothly conducted by Dr. Shubha Surana and Jignesh Sharma, ensuring precision and discipline throughout.
Gracing the occasion were several dignitaries including District Collector Shri Namit Mehta, Additional Collector & District Coordinator Shri War Singh, Municipal Commissioner & City Nodal Officer Shri Ramprakash, Zila Parishad CEO Smt. Riya Dabhi, Deputy Director Ayurveda & Nodal Officer Dr. Rajeev Bhatt, and Assistant Nodal Officer Dr. Shobhalal Audichya, whose guidance added prominence to the event.
Dr. Rajeev Bhatt highlighted that the yoga session was a grand success with participants performing Tadasana, Vajrasana, Trikonasana, Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Bhramari, and other practices under expert supervision.
Dr. Shobhalal Audichya shared that participants from Udaipur and across the globe joined the event with discipline and enthusiasm. He announced that the next rehearsal will be held at Moti Magri, inviting even larger participation from the city.
The event saw the active involvement of Assistant Director Bhanu Kumar Jain, Patanjali Yogis Ashok Jain, Puransingh, H.P. Jindal, and several other yoga volunteers including Bhanu Bapna, Gaurav Bhatt, Shweta Sharma, Usha Sharma, Sharda Jalora, Purvesh Jalora, Manju Sharma, and Prem Jain. Tourists also enthusiastically joined the yoga session, experiencing a unique spiritual vibe by the lake.
Speakers emphasized the importance of yoga in daily life, not just as a physical exercise but as a holistic lifestyle that offers physical fitness, mental stability, and spiritual peace. The event concluded with a collective resolve by all participants:
