Bring Hindi, Save the Nation: A Grand Literary Confluence at Nathdwara

Nathdwara/Kota, The Bhagwati Prasad Devpura Auditorium of Sahitya Mandal, Shrinathdwara turned into a literary epicenter with the resounding call “Bring Hindi, Save the Nation”. The historic event saw the participation of more than 100 eminent authors and poets from 16 states of India, highlighting the role of Hindi as a unifying force for national integration.

Inaugural Session: Hindi as a Symbol of Identity

The inaugural session was graced by former Vice-Chancellor and eminent writer Prof. Girishwar Mishra, who emphasized—
"Until we attain independence of thought, real transformation will remain superficial. Hindi today is not merely a language, but a symbol of our culture, unity, and identity."

Distinguished guest Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mishra (Odisha) said that connecting with Hindi is akin to connecting with the entire nation.
From Lucknow, Dr. Om Neerav highlighted the need to respect other languages while expanding Hindi nationwide.
Delhi-based Dr. Rahul associated Hindi with the Swadeshi movement, while Suresh Ji from Maharashtra remarked that, “The pen of writers today must fulfill the role once carried by Shivaji’s sword.”

Cultural Beginning and Academic Presentations

The event began with devotional renditions including Ganesh Vandana, Saraswati Vandana, and Shrinath Vandana. Students of Gurukul School presented Gita shlokas.
Scholarly papers were presented by Dr. Vyasmani Tripathi, Mrs. Manomala Hazarika, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, and Dr. S. Preeti, focusing on the growth and challenges of Hindi literature.

Honors and Felicitations

Several eminent personalities were honored during the event:

Prof. Girishwar Mishra received the Bhagwati Prasad Devpura Memorial Award with a cash prize of ₹11,000.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mishra was conferred with the honorary title of Hindi Shalaka.

Acharya Om Neerav received the Dr. Dau Dayal Gupta Memorial Award.

Dr. Rahul was honored with the Shri Jeevan Lal Agnihotri Memorial Award.

Dr. Krishnalal Bishnoi was awarded the Brajkant Sahitya Samman.

Additionally, from Kota, Shivangi Singh and Ram Mohan Kaushik were felicitated with special titles.

City Procession: Hindi Echoes Across Nathdwara

On the second day, authors along with school children carried out a grand procession across the town, raising slogans like “Bring Hindi, Save the Nation” and “Hindi is our pride, Hindi is our life.” The rally was warmly welcomed at various points by the townspeople.

Hindi’s Future and Vision

In the second session, chief guest Dr. Naval Kishore Bhabhra termed the event as a “Kumbh of Hindi Literature” and praised Sahitya Mandal for giving direction to the language.
Dr. Basant Singh Solanki, Secretary of Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi, described Sahitya Mandal as the temple of Hindi literature.
Noted historian Dr. Krishna Jugnu said that Nathdwara has gained global literary identity through the work of the Mandal.

Competitions and Book Releases

In the National Hindi Story Competition, first prize went to Mrs. Namita Singh Aaradhana, second to Dr. Anju Saxena (Jaipur), and third to Mrs. Shobha Rani Goyal (Jaipur).
New publications such as Tarkash ke Teer, Pankhudi, Badlav, and Vigyan Paheliyan were launched.

Journalists and Writers Felicitated

Several journalists and authors were honored with titles like Hindi Kavya Shiromani, Hindi Bhasha Vibhushan, and Patrakar Sampadak Ratna. Special honors included Kinjal Tiwari (Udaipur) as Patrakar Praveen and Vaishali Hitesh Panda (Ahmedabad) as Raktadan Veer.

President’s Address

In his concluding remarks, Sahitya Mandal President Pt. Madan Mohan Sharma stated—
"The objective of Sahitya Mandal is not just to preserve Hindi, but to nurture its beauty and identity as the language of the nation. Today, the presence of authors from across India in this hall is a living example of Hindi’s unity."
