#### Lecture on Human Values and Culture at Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic

Udaipur, A lecture on Human Values and Culture was organized at Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic, where Prof. H.D. Charan, Chairman of the AICTE Universal Human Values Committee and former Vice-Chancellor of BTU, addressed the gathering. He stressed that for true happiness and prosperity, it is essential for teachers and students to learn how to live harmoniously with themselves, their families, society, and nature.

Prof. Charan explained that the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), in compliance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, have made human values and cultural training an integral part of education. From the Deeksharambh (Induction Programme) at the time of admission to the Moolya Pravah and Guru Dakshata programmes, guidelines have been issued to ensure systematic value-based learning. He added that AICTE has instructed all its affiliated institutions and universities to mandatorily implement Moolya Pravah 2.0, with compulsory orientation for teachers under the Guru Dakshata initiative.

He further informed that nearly 2 lakh teachers have already been trained, and over 240 universities have appointed coordinators to carry forward the mission. More than one thousand experts across the country are voluntarily contributing their services for training on human values.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Polytechnic Principal Dr. Anil Mehta, followed by the vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Kanika Sharma, Director of VBRI. The session was anchored by Jai Sharma.
