Silence of the Election Commission Raises Eyebrows: Gunjal

KOTA:{ P Abbasi) Congress candidate Prahlad Gunjal, contesting from the Kota-Bundi Lok Sabha constituency, led a public struggle and support campaign in Kota city on Wednesday, urging for votes.

Gunjal stated, "Examine the ten-year performance of Mr. Birla; I guarantee you won't find a single vote in his favor. Despite sitting on powerful chairs for ten years, he has not done justice to his constituency."

He added, "I have always been an advocate for ensuring government's security, not creating fear. Whenever governments have become a source of fear, the public has come forward with torches and shown the way down from the throne. That's why today, the public is determined to bring Mr. Birla down to the ground."

Appealing to the public, Gunjal said, "You trust in every election. Evaluate which individual, with your trust, has truly changed your life. I assure you, if you trust me, I won't let your trust be broken."

Gunjal emphasized, "This election is not mine, it's yours. It's no longer a BJP vs. Congress election, but a battle of pride vs. self-respect. On one side, there are people intoxicated with power for ten years, who consider the public and workers as their slaves. On the other hand, there are those who are staking their political existence for the public and workers. Birla has not achieved anything in the Kota-Bundi parliamentary constituency despite being an MP and Lok Sabha Speaker for five years. Those who have sat for ten years, touching the feet of the public and workers, are now advising to work on the ground. Birla is only distributing sweet bullets in the name of ten years of work. Now, when the public is asking about their ten years of work, they are talking nonsense. You have blessed Birla twice; it's a matter of trust and dreams. Voting comes once in five years. I will vote; my vote will ensure justice for me, bring justice to my village, alleviate the suffering of the poor, youth, and farmers. If you have voted for Birla twice, dreamt with open eyes, today, I ask you, how many of your dreams have been fulfilled in ten years? If dreams are shattered, they do not have the right to ask for votes for the third time."

During this event, district president Ravindra Tyagi, women's state president Raki Gautam, Naresh Meena, Shivkant Nandwana, Mayor Manju Mehera, Deputy Mayor Sonu Qureshi, Pawan Meena, Naimuddin Guddu, Shivraj Gunjal, Amit Dhariwal, Jafer Mohammad, councilors, Congress leaders, and workers were present.

Each society and administration is appealing for 100% voter turnout.

Gunjal said, "The people are celebrating the festival of democracy, and every individual's participation is vital. Therefore, every society, voluntary organization, governance, administration, and all political parties are appealing for 100% voter turnout. In such a scenario, if Congress workers are appealing for 100% voter turnout, what's objectionable about that? Birla Ji, perturbed by his certain defeat, has now resorted to appeasement politics. But the people of Kota-Bundi are determined to teach him a lesson this time."

Now is the time for everyone to fight for social justice and public welfare. The election is not merely a game of pride and selfishness among political parties; it's an opportunity for people to unite and stay informed about protecting their rights.

Ultimately, participating in the electoral process signifies patriotism and dedication to democracy. Gunjal's journey is an effort to bring forward issues with consistency and sensitivity, inspiring us to think and act.
