SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND CELEBRATES KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

Jaipur, Indian Army achieved a famous victory in Kargil at the Line of Control in J &K in 1999, displaying extraordinary grit, courage and fortitude in the most inhospitable terrain. To commemorate the victory of the Indian Army in OPERATION VIJAY (Kargil-1999), ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ is celebrated on 26 Jul every year.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command laid a wreath at Prerna Sthal at Jaipur Military Station Jaipur on 26 Jul 2025 to pay tribute to the Veer Yodhas who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation during the Kargil War of 1999. The General Officer also expressed gratitude towards the veterans, parents and brave Veer Naris of Kargil Heroes. He greeted all ranks of the Command on the occasion and exhorted them to remain ceaselessly vigilant, to ensure security and territorial integrity of our nation, ‘Bharat’.

As part of the solemn and patriotic observance of Vijay Diwas, a special motivational programme was organised for school children at Prerna Sthal of Sapta Shakti Command. The initiative aimed to instill the values of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism among the young generation.

Young and dynamic Army officer of Sapta Shakti Command addressed the students with an inspiring motivational talk, encouraging them to pursue excellence, serve the nation with pride, and draw inspiration from the rich legacy of the Indian Armed Forces.

Following the talk, the children were taken on a guided tour of the Prerna Sthal, where they paid homage to the Bravehearts. The visit was followed by an engaging tour of the Battle Park and Equipment Display Area, where students had the opportunity to gain insight about various military operations, war memorials, and modern military equipment.
