Sports Festival should be celebrated as a grand celebration” – MP Mannalal Rawat

Udaipur, A workshop was organized on Friday at the party office, Patel Circle, under the chairmanship of District President Gajpal Singh Rathore in preparation for the upcoming MP Sports Festival 2025. The event saw participation from district officials, Mandal presidents, general secretaries, conveners, and co-conveners of the sports festival.

Tribal Affairs Minister Babulal Kharadi, the chief guest, said that sports provide a beautiful opportunity to awaken society and are essential for building a developed India.

At the outset, MP Mannalal Rawat shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned the MP Sports Festival as a platform to connect athletes across the nation. The festival will commence on September 21, featuring competitions at the Gram Panchayat, Ward, Mandal, and Lok Sabha levels. The festival will include five modern sports and 5–6 traditional games, aiming to instill enthusiasm, address social challenges, and inspire a vision for Developed India 2047. The competitions will conclude on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Online registration is mandatory for participation, with the last date set as September 20. Traditional games will be the highlight, including Kabaddi, Tug-of-War, Spoon Race, 100m Race, 50m Race for Senior Citizens, Archery, Relay Race, Badminton, Football, and Cricket.

District President Gajpal Singh Rathore emphasized that the Sports Festival should be organized as a movement involving every section of society. He urged workers to uphold discipline, calling it the first step of the party’s identity. Starting September 8, workshops will be held at the Mandal level to ensure proper preparations.

For smooth execution, Chandrashekhar Joshi was appointed convener for the entire Lok Sabha constituency, Amit Kalal as convener for Kherwara, Jhadol, and Gogunda Assembly areas, while Dr. Pankaj Borana was appointed co-convener for Udaipur and Udaipur Rural Assembly constituencies. Every participant will be honored with a certificate. Mayur Indoria explained the online registration process.

The workshop was also addressed by Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, MLA Tarachand Jain (Udaipur City), MLA Phulsingh Meena (Udaipur Rural), In-charge Banshilal Khatik, and State Convener of the Cooperative Cell Pramod Samar, who highlighted that athlete selection would take place at ward, Mandal, district, and division levels. Speakers emphasized that the festival will help players showcase their talent nationally and internationally and stressed the inclusion of indoor games.

The event was conducted by General Secretary Devilal Salvi, with a vote of thanks delivered by Devnarayan Dhabhai.
