Tree Plantation Day Celebrated by Pacific University's Faculty of Science and Technology under ‘Harayalo Rajasthan’ Campaign

Udaipur – As part of the Harayalo Rajasthan campaign, the Faculty of Science and Technology at Pacific University, Udaipur, organized a Tree Plantation Day on 2nd August 2025 within the university campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and university officials who planted saplings across various locations in the campus.

Prof. Hemant Kothari, President of Pacific University, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of tree plantation in his address. He stated, "Environmental conservation is the need of the hour. Trees not only purify the air we breathe but also play a vital role in water conservation, soil preservation, and maintaining biodiversity." He encouraged students to take active responsibility in protecting the environment.

Presiding over the event, Prof. Dilendra Heera, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, highlighted the deep connection between nature and science, saying, "If we aim to advance science, we must also protect nature. Every plant represents life, and every life secures our future."

The event was smoothly conducted by Prof. Ritu Khanna. The plantation drive saw collective participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff, all of whom pledged to protect and nurture the newly planted trees.

The primary objective of the event was to instill environmental awareness among students and to cultivate a sense of responsible citizenship towards nature. The active involvement of students played a key role in making the event a success.
