Pacific Center of Neurosciences Organizes Awareness Program on World Stroke Day

Udaipur : On World Stroke Day, Pacific Center of Neurosciences, Pacific Medical College and Hospital, Bedla, Udaipur, organized an online quiz competition for senior citizens, nursing students, nursing staff, and medical students to raise awareness about stroke among the general public. Among the participants from Udaipur Division's nursing and medical colleges, the top three winners were awarded with prizes and certificates.

As part of the event, Pacific Center of Neurosciences, Pacific Medical College and Hospital, honored staff dedicated to the fields of nursing and neuro-rehabilitation with Nursing and Rehab Excellence Awards. Mr. Mujahid Salim from Maharana Bhupal Chikitsalay was chosen in the field of nursing, while Dr. Kartikey T. from Gurgaon was awarded the Excellence Award in the field of physiotherapy.

Dr. Atulabh Vajpayee, an Interventional Neurologist, addressed the gathering, speaking on the topic "Arrive on Time, Save Disability." He emphasized the importance of timely treatment in stroke care. He shed light on the significance of the latest interventions in mechanical thrombectomy, which is vital for stroke patients within the initial eight hours.

In addition, Dr. Shailendra Mehta discussed the importance of physiotherapy in neuro-rehabilitation, Dr. Vishal Sharma highlighted the significance of occupational therapy in neuro-rehabilitation, Dr. Prabhash Raj emphasized the role of speech therapy in neuro-rehabilitation, and Dr. Deepak Salvi addressed the importance of psychological counseling in neuro-rehabilitation.

During the event, Bhawar Seth shed light on the contributions of individual volunteers in spreading stroke awareness among the general public, while Anurag Dubey discussed the role of social organizations in raising stroke awareness.

Dr. M.M. and Medical University of Udaipur's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A.P. Gupta, distributed awards to the participants and shared their insights during the event.
