“E-Waste Collection Campaign” Launched in Udaipur

Udaipur – Under the aegis of District Council, Udaipur and the Innovative Governance Reforms Federation (IGRF), a one-day orientation workshop was held on Monday for the “E-Waste Collection Campaign (E-Clean)”. The workshop aimed to promote the safe collection, recycling, and disposal of electronic waste (e-waste) generated across the district.

Strategy and Implementation Discussed

During the workshop, strategies and operational plans for the campaign were discussed. Collection centers for e-waste, including mobile phones, laptops, TVs, refrigerators, and other electronic devices, will be established throughout the district. Collected e-waste will be sent to authorized recycling agencies to ensure environmentally friendly disposal. The campaign aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Dignitaries Emphasize Environmental Responsibility

The workshop was attended by Riya Dabi, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, Udaipur; Veerma Ram, RAS, Additional CEO; Dr. Vijay Vyas, Director, IGRF; Dr. Vinod Yadav, Researcher and Professor, Manipal University; block development officers, local industrialists, and other dignitaries.

Campaign to Begin October 1

The e-waste collection campaign will commence on October 1, with extensive public awareness drives and training camps across the district. Riya Dabi urged all participants to actively support the campaign and encouraged every individual to contribute to environmental protection. This initiative is expected to inject new energy and commitment toward cleanliness and environmental conservation in the district.
