Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Invited as Chief Guest for Sur Sangam Festival

New Delhi/Jaipur – The 36th Annual National Youth Music Festival, organised by Sur Sangam, is set to take place on 1 and 2 October this year at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. Sur Sangam, a renowned organisation dedicated to music for the past 50 years, will once again bring together young talent from across the nation for this prestigious event. On Monday, the organisation’s Chairman, K.C. Maloo, met Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at Parliament House in New Delhi and extended an invitation to him to preside as the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony.

Informing the Minister about the festival’s legacy, Maloo stated that the event has, for five decades, provided a platform for youth from different regions of India to display their musical skills and artistic talent. This year, 50 selected young artists from across the country will participate. He also recalled that the festival’s stage has, in the past, been graced by eminent personalities, including Sur Kokila and Samragyani Lata Mangeshkar.

Union Culture and Tourism Minister Shekhawat commended the dedicated efforts of Sur Sangam in promoting Indian music and appreciated the contribution of Veena Music’s Founder-President K.C. Maloo in the fields of music, art, and culture.

Do you want me to also prepare a short 90–100 word press note version for media distribution? That would make it quicker for newspapers to carry the story.
