###Clean Ajmer Like Indore Model:Speaker Devanani

Jaipur/Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has instructed the Ajmer Municipal Corporation to begin working on a comprehensive plan to transform the historic city of Ajmer into a clean and beautiful city, modeled after Indore. He ordered immediate action to open closed drains, improve roads and sewer lines, and take strict disciplinary steps against officials who have failed to act even after court stay orders were lifted.

During a high-level meeting held at the Circuit House on Saturday, Devnani reprimanded municipal officers for tardiness and negligence, stressing that indifference towards civic duties would no longer be tolerated. He emphasized that officers must act with dedication, keeping the city's welfare as their top priority.

Immediate Focus on Drain Cleaning and Road Infrastructure

Devnani discussed a detailed action plan to reopen drains in various parts of the city and to explore alternative water outlets from Ana Sagar Lake. He directed that new proposals be drawn up for areas near Mittal Hospital, Regional College, CineWorld to Kesar Sweets and Pancholi Square. He also ordered urgent action for drain openings near Old Ana Sagar Chowpatty and Master Academy.

Other areas mentioned for immediate drainage work included Bajrangarh Kesar Bagh Chowki, outside Medical College, TB Hospital, Guddan ka Dhaba, India Motor Circle, Martindale Bridge, Moti Vihar, Radha Vihar, Ganpati Nagar, Sagar Vihar, Van Vihar, Gulmohar Colony, Chaudhary Colony, and Police Line.

Hotel Survey and Illegal Construction Crackdown

Devnani questioned why the hotel survey was left incomplete and why no action had been taken after court stays were removed. He instructed officials to categorize hotels into three types — completely illegal, residential buildings running commercial operations, and constructions exceeding permitted floors — and act accordingly.

He also asked for technical reports on dilapidated buildings in municipal areas and called for expansion of the Varun Sagar catchment zone. Additional water from Chaurasiyawas Lake is to be diverted toward the Makadwali Lake. The drain near Ghodo Ki Rapat in Police Line area must also be opened.

Additional Orders for Urban Cleanliness and Order

The Speaker instructed the closure of illegal meat shops in the city and demanded strict enforcement of designated wedding and non-wedding zones. He called for better upkeep of public parks and directed officials to maintain detailed records of city roads, hotels, and gardens.

The meeting was attended by both Deputy Commissioners of Ajmer Municipal Corporation and other officials.
