##### Reliance AGM 2025: Major Announcements on AI, Jio IPO and Green Energy

Mumbai, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) announced major initiatives in artificial intelligence, digital connectivity, and energy at its 48th Annual General Meeting on Friday.

The company has entered a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to set up India’s first AI-focused cloud region in Jamnagar, powered entirely by green energy. Google Cloud will provide advanced AI computing and stack, while Reliance will manage cloud facilities and network infrastructure.

RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Mukesh Ambani said the collaboration would lay the foundation for India’s global leadership in AI. In addition, Reliance announced a 70:30 joint venture with Meta, with an initial investment of ₹855 crore, to build a Llama-based enterprise AI platform. The platform aims to deliver affordable AI solutions to Indian enterprises and SMEs. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it a crucial step in bringing the power of open-source AI to Indian developers and businesses.

On digital connectivity, Mr. Ambani revealed that Jio will launch its IPO in the first half of 2026, terming it a major opportunity for investors. Jio has surpassed 500 million subscribers, with over 220 million users already on Jio True 5G. Jio Chairman Mr. Akash Ambani added that, after the fastest 5G rollout in the country, the company is preparing for international expansion.

Highlighting the clean energy roadmap, RIL Executive Director Mr. Anant Ambani announced that the Dhirubhai Ambani Giga Energy Complex in Jamnagar will be four times the size of Tesla’s Gigafactory. Spanning 44 lakh sq. ft., it will be the world’s largest integrated hub for new and conventional energy. Additionally, Reliance is developing a solar project across 550,000 acres in Kutch, Gujarat—three times the size of Singapore—which will meet nearly 10% of India’s power needs over the next decade.
