Grand Launch of “Har Ghar Hockey” Campaign — A Historic Step to Make Soft Hockey Reach Every Household

 

Jaipur, Rajasthan:The General Body Meeting of the Soft Hockey Federation of India was held in a grand manner at the Constitution Club in Rajasthan. The meeting was chaired by Federation President Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Pant. The event witnessed participation from senior office-bearers across India, representatives from reputed universities, corporate leaders, security experts, and national-level players.

Key Highlight:

Launch of the “Har Ghar Hockey” Campaign

As a major step towards promoting soft hockey, the “Har Ghar Hockey” initiative was launched during the meeting. Under this campaign, free hockey kits will be distributed to children in tribal and rural areas, with the goal of distributing 1 lakh kits. The initiative aims to make hockey a household sport and inspire youth towards athletic pursuits.

Other Key Decisions:

State and district-level branches of the Federation will be established across the country, with appropriate appointments of office-bearers.

Regular organization of Junior and Senior National Championships was assured.

Special programs for referee training and technical courses will be initiated.

This year’s National Hockey League will be hosted in Goa.

The future will witness the launch of the Indian Soft Hockey League (ISHL), inspired by the IPL format, to bring together professionalism and entertainment in the sport.

Leadership & Responsibilities:

Dr. Ashutosh Pant will lead ISHL as its head.

IPS Officer Sandeep Singh Chauhan (IG, Jaipur) has been appointed as Chairman of ISHL.

Prof. Amarika Singh will be in charge of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, and will oversee the National League in Lucknow.

Sunaina Prakash and Prof. Amarika Singh have been appointed as Vice Presidents, and Gajendra Singh Rathore as Senior Vice President.

Role of Sports in Nation Building

The meeting began and concluded with the National Anthem. All members pledged to contribute collectively to energize the “Khelo India” mission, with renewed dedication.

From “Har Ghar Hockey” to “Har Dil Hockey”

This pioneering campaign aims not only to strengthen youth physically and mentally but also to promote discipline and unity through sport. Soft Hockey is set to become more than just a game — it is poised to become a movement for national development.
