###Pediatric and Neonatal Specialists Conference 'Lakecity PedCritiCon 2024' Commences

*Udaipur, The Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Pacific Medical College & Hospital, in collaboration with the IAP Intensive Care Chapter India and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Udaipur, inaugurated the Pediatric Critical Care Conference 'Lakecity PedCritiCon 2024' today. On the first day of the two-day conference, workshops were conducted on Mechanical Ventilation and Point-of-Care Ultrasound.

Organizing Secretary Dr. Puneet Jain informed that the workshop on Mechanical Ventilation and Point-of-Care Ultrasound was inaugurated by Dr. Lakhan Poswal, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at RNT, Dr. M.M. Mangal, Principal and Dean of PMCH, Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, Medical Superintendent, Conference Chairman Dr. Sudhir Mawadia, Secretary Dr. Puneet Jain, and Dr. Ravi Bhatia.

These workshops were organized with the objective of enhancing critical care in pediatrics. Leading pediatric and neonatal specialists from across the country shared their experiences. The conference focused on advanced techniques in mechanical ventilation and pediatric care, which will undoubtedly contribute to improving pediatric care across the region. The primary goal of the workshop was to acquaint pediatricians working in both rural and urban areas with the latest techniques in pediatric critical care. Subject-specific research papers were presented and thoroughly discussed during the workshops.

Co-Secretaries of the conference, Dr. Sunny Malviya and Dr. Palak Jain, mentioned that over 100 representatives from various medical colleges across Rajasthan and the country participated in the workshops. Notable participants included Dr. Arun Bansal from PGIMER Chandigarh, Dr. Shalu Gupta, Professor of Pediatrics at LHMC Delhi, Dr. Atul Jindal from AIIMS Raipur, Dr. Lokesh Tiwari from AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. Nitin Dhochak from AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Daisy Khera from AIIMS Jodhpur, renowned neonatologist Dr. Sushil Gupta, and Dr. Ramkesh Meena from Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital.
