So That the Light of Education Remains Uninterrupted

Udaipur,In a heartening gesture that breaks the stereotype of lack of awareness towards education in tribal areas, a parent from a remote village in Udaipur has set an inspiring example. When the building of Primary School Nalafala, under PEEO Kojawada in Rishabhdev block, was declared unsafe during an inspection, Prakash Meena stepped forward to ensure the children's education is not disrupted.

Following the recent Jhalawar tragedy and heavy rains across Rajasthan, inspections of dilapidated school buildings are being conducted swiftly. During such an inspection at Nalafala, officials declared the school building unfit for use, causing concern over the interruption of academic activities.

To address this issue, Prakash Meena, a resident of the village, offered his personal house — located just 300 meters from the school — for conducting school operations free of cost until a new building is constructed. He made this announcement in the presence of village Sarpanch Anita Devi and Principal Santosh Vyas.

What makes this contribution even more commendable is the fact that Prakash Meena himself lives in challenging conditions — caring for five daughters, three sons, and a visually impaired brother. Despite these responsibilities, he prioritized the village children's education over his own convenience.

His generous gesture was lauded by Sarpanch Anita Devi, PEEO Santosh Vyas, Vice Principal Lakshman Lal Meena, Head Teacher Chandrika Meena, Teacher Basanti Meena, and the entire village panchayat, who extended their gratitude and appreciation.
