Udaipur.The city of Udaipur witnessed a soulful celebration on the occasion of the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Under the banner of Anjuman Taleemul Islam Udaipur, the two-day Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi commenced at Anjuman Chowk, where the second session began on Thursday night after the Isha prayers with the recitation of the Holy Quran and concluded late at night with Salat-o-Salaam.
Highlights of the Gathering
Anjuman President Haji Mukhtar Ahmed Qureshi informed that the chief speaker, Khalifa-e-Tajush Shariya Alhaj Mufti Masiheuddin Hashmati of Uttaroula-Balrampur, emphasized adopting the life and teachings of the Prophet to walk on the righteous path and eradicate social evils. Syed Shah Hasnain Bakaai Qadri of Shafipur Sharif, in his address, inspired the Muslim community to progress in every field by following the teachings of Islam.
Renowned scholars including Maulana Rafiq Raza Qadri (Mumbai), Hamdam Faizi Dhanbadi (Delhi), and Shamim Faizi presented soulful Naatiya Kalam, filling the atmosphere with devotion as the gathering echoed with the chants of “Mere Aaqa Aaye Marhaba, Mere Daata Aaye Marhaba.”
The event was attended by prominent scholars including Maulana Julkarnain, Mufti Ahmed Hussain, and Maulana Aas Mohammad along with several city dignitaries and youth workers. The Anjuman committee members including Naib Sadar Farukh Qureshi, Joint Secretary Izhar Hussain, Cabinet members Anees Raza, Fakhruddin Sheikh, Tauqeer Mohammad, Tanveer Chishti, Firoz Basheer, Siraj Mohammad, Adil Khan, and Irshad Khan were also present.
Procession Schedule
Anjuman Secretary Advocate Mustafa Sheikh announced that the Julus-e-Mohammadi will be taken out on Friday, September 5, after the Jumma Namaz at 1 PM from Anjuman Chowk. The procession will pass through Sindhi Bazaar, Bada Bazaar, Ghantaghar, Moti Chohtta, Harvenji Ka Khurra, Hathipol, Silawatwadi, Bichhughati, Jatwadi, Nai Pulia, Ambavgarh Kachhi Basti, and Ayurvedic College Square before moving towards Raza Colony.
It will then proceed through Badi Masjid and reach Mulla Talai crossing to culminate at the shrine of Hazrat Imrat Rasool Shah (RA) at Dargah Mufti Zaheerul Hasan (RA), where a Chadar Sharif will be offered at the Mazar Sharif of Bada Maulana Sahib as part of the Urs.
Children from madrasas and schools, community organizations, and various religious and social bodies will join the procession with recitations, naats, and salaams. The grand procession is scheduled to conclude by 10 PM.
Parallel Procession from Khanjipir
Spokesperson Rashid Khan further informed that another procession will start from Khanjipir after Jumma Namaz, moving from Noori Chowk and joining at Anjuman Chowk to become part of the main celebration.
