Udaipur, Under the directives of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state organization, the Viksit Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan Sammelan was grandly organized today at Saras Dairy Auditorium, Goverdhan Vilas, Udaipur (Rural Assembly Constituency).
BJP Media In-charge Dr. Seema Champawat informed that Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, was the keynote speaker, while the event was presided over by BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore and conducted under the leadership of Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena.
District Convenor Takhat Singh Shaktawat, in his welcome address, stated that the campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of Viksit Bharat 2047, began on 25 September 2025 (the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay) and will continue till 25 December 2025 (the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee). He emphasized the responsibility of taking the guidance of today’s chief guest to the common people.
Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena welcomed the dignitaries and attendees, appealing to adopt the Swadeshi spirit and walk on the path of sustainable development. He said that the goal of Viksit Bharat can only be achieved when every citizen adopts the resolve of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. On the occasion of Dhanteras, he also extended warm Deepawali greetings to the gathering.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, while conveying greetings on Dhanvantari Trayodashi, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dream of a Developed India by 2047 is possible only through self-reliance. He described the movement as a national campaign, urging every individual to embrace Swadeshi and contribute to India’s economic independence. He added that after 75 years of independence, India has entered the Amrit Kaal, and Aatmanirbharta is the mantra to fulfill the dreams of the freedom fighters. Despite challenges such as the global recession, demonetization, and the COVID crisis, India has emerged as one of the leading exporters in the world.
He further stated that India is now self-reliant in sectors such as defense, electronics, mobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and vaccine production. Exporting COVID vaccines to over 100 countries is proof of India’s capability. He appealed that though we were not part of the freedom struggle, we can contribute by pledging to use Indian-made products in our daily lives — from morning till night. “At the pace India is moving under Modi ji’s leadership, no power in the world can stop us from becoming a developed nation,” he said.
On this occasion, the Union Minister felicitated five individuals — Pinky Prajapat, Harsh Chhajed, Shiv Shankar Suthar, Rahul Jain, and Ratan Mongia — for promoting Vocal for Local by producing and marketing domestic-use products at the local level.
