Vidya Bhawan Celebrates 94th Foundation Day with Grand Rally

 

Udaipur,  Vidya Bhawan, established in 1931 by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Mohan Singh Mehta, celebrated its 94th Foundation Day with a remarkable 2.5 km rally from its school grounds to Fatehsagar overflow. Over 2,000 participants including students, teachers, farmers, alumni, and dignitaries carried inspiring placards promoting a clean, educated, prosperous, and self-reliant Udaipur.

District Collector Namit Mehta flagged off the rally and emphasized the city's 13th rank in national cleanliness, urging citizens to dedicate an hour weekly to cleanliness. At Fatehsagar, Excise Commissioner Nakate Shivprasad shared his journey from a village student to IAS officer, highlighting Vidya Bhawan’s inclusive and value-based education. He encouraged students to pursue their interests with positivity, resilience, and mindfulness.

President Dr. Jitendra Kumar Tayalia announced plans for a world-class nursery school and modern sports academy. CEO Rajendra Bhatt remembered Vidya Bhawan’s founders and spoke on its innovative, holistic education model.

The event, chaired by alumnus and former BHEL GM Jagdish Prasad Acharya, included cultural performances by students from all ten Vidya Bhawan institutions. Guests included Narendra Maru, Pushpa Sharma, Hansraj Choudhary, Gopal Bamb, and several dignitaries. The program was coordinated by Principal Pushparaj Singh Ranawat and concluded with a vote of thanks by Shailendra Singh Barhat.
