Udaipur:Sojatia Jewellers witnessed a surge in customer footfall on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, as buyers from Udaipur and surrounding areas flocked to the showroom. The rise in purchases was attributed to the jeweller’s innovative research and workshop practices, offering lightweight designs and the introduction of 75 Hallmark gold—both of which proved economical for customers.
Dr. Mahendra Sojatia stated that the unique combination of Rohini Nakshatra and Wednesday made this year’s Akshaya Tritiya especially significant. He highlighted that compared to last year, the prices of gold and silver had surged by nearly 30%. To ensure customers were not burdened by this price hike, Sojatia Jewellers took two major steps.
First, their workshop focused on lightweight jewelry with broader spread. For instance, a traditional 50-gram necklace set was redesigned and successfully crafted in just 40 grams without compromising its appearance. This was made possible by the skill and precision of their artisans, enabling customers to stick to their budgets despite the rise in gold prices.
Second, alongside the traditional 91.6 hallmark (22K), Sojatia also promoted 75 hallmark gold (18K), which maintains strong finish and durability. Customers opting for 75 hallmark jewelry could still enjoy quality craftsmanship while reducing cost implications.
Dr. Dhruv Sojatia emphasized that the sharp rise in gold prices has encouraged the team to work with utmost dedication and care on these two fronts. Nehal Sojatia added that even Jadau and Polki jewelry, traditionally heavier in design, were being crafted in lighter versions through meticulous efforts.
These innovations by Sojatia Jewellers are expected to provide continued value to customers, helping them celebrate auspicious occasions without compromising on elegance or budget.
