Workshop on “ESG Compliance and Sustainability Reporting for Industrial Development” Held at UCCI

Udaipur – In an effort to raise awareness about ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) among industries and the public, and in compliance with government directives in Southern Rajasthan, a training program on “ESG Compliance and Sustainability Reporting for Industrial Development” was organized by Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) in collaboration with the Udaipur Industrial Waste Management and Research Centre (UIW&MRC). The event was held at the Pyrotech Tempsons Auditorium, UCCI Bhawan.

Subject experts Mr. Abhishek Garg and Mr. Yogesh Natu from A.A. Garg & Company, Mumbai, provided professional training on ESG to the participants.

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Manish Galundia, President of UCCI, welcomed the experts and participants, stating that the workshop focused on environmental, social, and governance compliance with the aim of preparing industries to meet sustainable business standards and global regulations.

Mr. Komal Kothari, Executive Chairman of UIW&MRC Trust, shared that the training is particularly beneficial for industries committed to responsible development, environmental protection, and transparency.

Mr. C.S.R. Mehta, Member Secretary of UIW&MRC Trust, introduced the guest speakers and highlighted their expertise.

In the first session, expert Mr. Abhishek Garg explained the concept of ESG, its increasing significance in business, the ESG reporting framework, and compliance processes through a PowerPoint presentation.

The second session was led by Mr. Yogesh Natu, who presented case studies on ESG-related risks and opportunities in industries, along with best practices in ESG, using a PowerPoint presentation.

The workshop saw participation from over 50 industry professionals, and experts addressed queries and concerns raised by the attendees throughout the program.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. C.S.R. Mehta, expressing gratitude to all speakers and participants.
