Udaipur. The appreciation ceremony for the Rotary Club Udaipur's term 2022-23 was held at Rotary Bajaj Bhavan. The event's chief guest was Preeti Gajendrasingh Shaktawat, MLA from Vallabhnagar, and the distinguished guest was former Governor Nirmal Singhvi.
Addressing the ceremony, Preeti Shaktawat mentioned that previously she had only heard about Rotary Club Udaipur in newspapers, but now she realized that the club has done exemplary work. The club has not left any area untouched by its service. Seeing this, she invited the Rotary Club to explore service opportunities in Vallabhnagar, where there are many underprivileged children in need of essential supplies. The government has its limitations, but Vallabhnagar is progressing well in the field of education, with the Chief Minister announcing the establishment of several colleges and government schools there.
Distinguished guest, former Governor Nirmal Singhvi, stated that Rotary Club Udaipur is ahead of many Rotary clubs in other countries regarding service work. Now, significant funds can be brought in through matching grants from the Rotary Foundation.
Club President Satish Jain mentioned that with a donation of INR 10 lakhs, the club provided furniture to various schools, including Government Pravara Vidyalaya and Nimadi. Due to the club's service work, the Rotary District awarded the club with the Best President and Best Secretary awards, which is a matter of pride for the club.
During the occasion, Club Secretary Ajay Agrawal presented a report on the service work conducted during the year.
Honoured Service Collaborators - Those who supported the club's service activities during the year were recognized and honoured. Manish Patwa, Gajendrasingh Jodhawat, Tejasingh Modi, P.S. Talesara, Bhupendra Shreemali, Anshul Mogra, Ramesh Singhvi, Dr Nirmal Kunawat, Dr B.L. Sinrolya, Hemant Mehta, Deepak Mehta, Rakesh Maheshwari, D.P. Dhakad, and Alok Pagariya were felicitated by Preeti Shaktawat, Nirmal Singhvi, Satish Jain, and Ajay Agrawal, who presented them with mementoes. Satish Jain, Ajay Agrawal, Nirmal Singhvi, and Rakesh Maheshwari received appreciation letters from the club. Suman Lundia hosted the program.
